Phoebe and Richard Ryrko & their three children initially planned a one year sabbatical to Poland to discover lost relatives, explore Europe and enjoy some mountain air. By the time the snow began to fall in December it was clear that Krakow had a magic that was not to be given up lightly and they decided to stay for the long term. In Marii Curie Sklodowskiej No5 they have made a wonderful home and a beautiful city retreat.

The street is in the heart of Krakow, only 4 minutes walk from the Rynek (the main square), or a little longer if you take a slow stroll through the ‘Planty’, Krakow’s glorious ring of trees. Built in the late 1800s, the architecture exudes faded romantic grandeur. The apartment is peaceful and stylish incorporating antiques and modern furniture, with artwork from friends, family and local artists hanging on the walls, there to savour, discuss & delight.
